What Are You Thankful for?
Here in the United States we are days away from Thanksgiving. A national holiday centered around the idea of friendship and family based on American mythology.
This year, 2020, has been fraught with terrible things that have harmed so many of us, and though each year has it’s problems large and small it feels like we all suffered this year.
In such times it is both more difficult and more necessary to “count your blessings.”. It is easy to look about and loosed hope, to see how happy others seem to be and hate your life.
We are most sad when others are happy and we are not. When we suffer, and feel that suffering a lone.
I hope that we can look beyond our immediate pains and see all the great and wondrous things in our lives.
I know, personally, I find it quite difficult to do such things at times but it is one of the greatest things I can do for not only my personal health but for the health of those around me.
So I invite you, join me, in asking yourself, “what am I thankful for?” And even if it feels like very little, or sounds simple hold onto those simple, little things. It is those little, simple things that make life worth living.
Take care my dear friends and I am thankful for each and every one of you who read my words.
