I Don’t Plan These!

Which, admittedly, is a bit stressful, but true. I’m going a bit behind the magic here for this post but I thought about what “genuine” means or feels like and I hit upon the idea of telling you a little bit about how these mussings come up.

Firstly, they’re not planned, save that I try to release them on the same day about (you’re late today) the same time. I don’t spend hours crafting and refining the text and I certainly don’t write them days or weeks in advance and set them to upload automatically.

It’s just part of who I am, like, I don’t write speeches. I MAKE speeches, but it all has to be off the cuff. Something about being genuine. And that’s really important as a writer I feel. I believe that a reader can feel when the writer isn’t being genuine and nothing turns a reader away like writer’s lack of care or enthusiasm.

I do hope you can feel that, I REALLY hope I can convey my energy and my feelings behind these posts.

It is the greatest skill of an artist to convey their emotion through their work, well to do so intentionally at any rate. And this IS my work, my craft, even this.

These simple musings are not just snippets of my thoughts but glimpses into my heart. And if you don’t feel even a sliver of that, then I need to work harder.
