You Have to Grow Old, Not Up

You Have To Grow Old, Not Up

My apologies on the tardiness my friends, the day job took far more f my time than usual for a Monday and brought him home far too late in the night. But I did not forget you.

For those who cannot see it, attached to this post is the picture of an old coloring book. Something my friends got me because I AM A CHILD.

-Not literally of course.-

And I hope you are still a child too.

Also not literally, of course.,

The point being, as the title implies, that we have no choice in moving forward in time (for now) but we certainly have choice in whether or not we become boring and loose the fun things in our lives. My friends recognize my childish habits and loves and where others might shame and cajole for it they feed and nurture them instead.

As I do the same for them, and hopefully for all of you to some extent or another.

I mean, I write stories about wizards and monsters and you read them, we’re all a little childish no?

And that is a good thing, not just having these simple pleasures but having people to share those pleasures in, to be the people others share their pleasures in.

I am blessed to have those friends and I pray I return to them the mirth and joy in some measure they bring to me.

And I pray you find yourself in the same situation as I. Surprised by the care and happiness your friends bring into your life in even your most childish moments and able to reciprocate.

Thank you my dear friends, and God bless.
