The More Things Change

It’s important to remember, I find, that things change as much as they do not.

There are moments of upheaval in our lives, in our world, however despite this there are constants.

Good people remain good people.

Bad people remain bad people.

Hard work and sacrifice are still the price we pay for a better tomorrow.

Some of us will feel, of late, as though we’ve been through something climatic and now we’re done. But we’re not, the work never finishes because “the more things change…”

Such a thought can be daunting but it can also be invigorating if you have the perspective for it.

Even if things look bad now, there is still good in the world. People WANT what’s best for everyone about them. And your power to make a meaningful change in the future stands true.

Today is as different from yesterday as it is the same.

And if you have the ability to choose which, choose that which is best.
