If It Ain't Broke...

But what if it IS broke? i don’t know how many of you are writers or have really been there but man does it get rough sometimes.

This is the part we don’t always admit to as writers. Sometimes we have to burn the whole F-r down. That’s why books get delayed.

Thankfully there is no delay, and I didn’t have to burn the WHOLE thing down. But I did have to scrap a chapter. Now it worked, it did what I needed it to do, but it didn’t do it good enough and I don’t want to give you good “enough” I want to give you “my best.” And sometimes that means taking a hatchet to what you made and casting it into the fire.

The phoenix rises from the ashes of its own destruction and a better manuscript will rise from the sacrifice of this lost chapter.

Gawd that’s pretentious. Ha! Trust me it will be wort it.
