Get Yourself A Chainsaw
Get Yourself A Chainsaw
This is not a joke. Well O.K. maybe it’s a little bit of a joke but it’s also very, very true.
It’s the start of Hurricane season. At least in this hemisphere, that means downed trees, flash floods and power outages. Especially here in suburban areas where giant trees tend to have weak root networks. And once those trees start coming down getting a couple chainsaws to clear your street will be far more difficult and far more expensive.
And in that is a lesson for life, no? It is worth while to stop and take stop, particularly at the turning of the seasons. To look back at where you’ve been, of the problems you’ve faced and what the future may hold. This Summer will likely be the the hottest Summer on record (because the last 5 years in a row it has been) and we’ll probably have more hurricanes this year (just as we had so many tropical storms last year they ran out the alphabet).
What will you do if you loose power for a day, for a week? If a tree blocks off your road or your neighbors house catches fire?
These may be heavy questions, and the kind that people tend to ignore until -after- they need those answers.
Do you have renter’s insurance?
Ya know all the things our parents badgered us about.
Prepare for the future my friends. The little things, the big things, and all the the things we forget.
Take care my friends and god bless;
